Texans do not think small. Why should they? I love the place. Only one short residency at Texas A & M may not give one a true picture. People are wonderful and the
bluebonnets and indian paintbrush were
doing their wonderful magic - even before
Ladybird Johnson made it important.

Don't know aobut the Rio Grande, Dac, but it was a fine, rainy Sunday. Old whiskey, wrought iron spring rocker on my front porch, and a magnificent piliated woodpecker hammering high up in the giant, old dead pine.
Rain. Hooray, indeed.
