Didn't General Sherman make the famous remark, "If I owned Hell and Texas, I'd live in Hell and rent out Texas?" Something along that line, I think.
I like this part of Texas history and have read and researched and used it in different blogs.
I grew up in Levelland, and as a child visited McKenzie State Park in Lubbock. Little did I know McKenzie's background was one of controversy concerning the Comanche. Thanks, Dac. Keep writing, and I'll wait for the post about Broken Hand.
