Published in July 2007, Guns Across the Rio by Dac Crossley follows the adventures of three Texas Rangers on the Mexican border in 1959. The Mexican Revolution spawned gangs of bandits who raided across the Rio Grande into south Texas, terrorizing little towns and villages, ranches and farms. Only a small band of Texas Rangers stood in their way.
When Nacho Ybarra, Texas Ranger, crosses the Rio incognito to visit his daughter in Reynosa, he is confronted by Pancho Villa, leader of the Revolution. Drawn into a bandit gang, operating under cover, Nacho must fight on his own terms.

Dac, Hope you get around to reading this. I just finished your book and after all those nights listening to your read your meandering thoughts I am happy to see them put together. Loved it even though my spanish is a little rusty it caused me to enjoy it more. The characters really came together. You are an inspiration and I think I might start back on the great novel.

Dac, Your description of moving books was great. I'm pleased to report that my memoir, A Kineno Remembers, is going to its third printing. I never thought we'd get through the first printing. Larry

Dac, I hope this comment makes it to your blog. I enjoyed your reviews of the books (and your book was an excellent read). Please consider reviewing my memoir, A KINENO REMEMBERS published last year by the Texas A&M Press. It was voted by the Texas State Historical Association as one of the three best books on Texas history published last year. Larry
